Reading- After working on MAP skills on Monday and going to the Library on Tuesday, we will be concentrating on completing our Realistic Fiction books.  When finished, we will have culminating activities for each group book.  We will also continue working on main idea and details this week.
Language- We completed our resturaunt menus using all kinds of “delicious” adjectives.  [...]

Reading: We will be working on finding main idea and details this week.  The students seem to be  enjoying their realistic fiction novels.  We will continue reading and doing activities related to the novels.  Monday will be spent on testing strategies to prepare students for MAP testing.  These skills should also help them on any test [...]

Reading- We have completed our fantasy novels.  Most of the students seemed to enjoy this genre of literature.  We will work on cause/effect relationships for the next two weeks.  We will also begin our new realistic fiction novels.
